Lauren Hrubik is a marriage and family therapist candidate. She obtained her master’s degree in clinical psychology with an emphasis in marriage and family therapy from Azusa Pacific University in Southern California. Her clinical training was focused on families, which encompassed working with children, adolescents, parents, couples, and individuals who struggled with trauma, depression, anxiety, marital/relationship issues, women’s issues, sexual abuse, substance abuse, grief and loss, transitions, life-skills, parenting skills, suicidal ideation, and mood disorders. Lauren also has research-based knowledge of postpartum depression as well as military couples and families who face unique challenges in today’s culture. In addition, Lauren has extensive experience integrating faith with sound clinical therapeutic approaches when clients desire and believe in treating the whole person: mind, body, and soul.

When working with clients, Lauren uses multiple therapeutic modalities in order to collaborate and customize therapy to meet the needs of each individual. The therapeutic models she utilizes often include Attachment Theory, Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy (EFT), Solution Focused Brief Therapy, Child-Centered Play Therapy, and Strength Based approaches to assist clients in discovering confidence, hope, and direction, which is the catalyst to improved connection, engagement, and change.

Lauren is dedicated to helping you find restoration and healing when life’s challenges and hardships occur. It can be difficult to navigate through obstacles on your own, and she finds it a privilege to support you through your healing process towards a happier and healthier life. She will meet you where you are in your own unique situation with respect and compassion.
